“Librarians ‘Get’ Graphic,” a Comic Book Legal Defense Fund charity event.
Hosted by Bernadette Baker and Gretchen Stelter (seen at right with Anina) of Baker's Mark Literary Agency (agents for our Boilerplate book).

Charles Brownstein of the CBLDF speaks to the crowd about the importance of protecting free speech. Douglas Wolk, author of Reading Comics also spoke, encouraging creators to connect with librarians and make more comics for kids. The crowd loved his suggestion for a surefire kid-pleasing combo: “robot ninja pirate princess."

This event brought together librarians, creators, and comic publishers. Look, there's Steve Lieber in the lower right corner!

The three coolest chicks on the comics scene. If I hafta ID them, you ain't hip, man!
