| Lincoln High School's robotics team, the New Victorians, participated in the Oregon FIRST Robotics regionals. The team went with a steampunk theme, sporting Boilerplate pins as well as posters on their booth in the pit. | ||||||||||

   The New Victorians, who are partly sponsored by Boeing, did not advance to the championships. However, coach Bart Millar (above) wrote us after the event that "we were chosen for the prestigious judges' award--this is given to the team that does the best outreach, manages their image and branding, and best typifies the spirit of robotics and sportsmanship. We really feel that the Victorian brand, and the Boilerplate posters and notice from Boeing because of them, was what made us stand out in a packed field of contestants."
