The first Boilerplate comic book since 2005! Created for a 24-hour comic book challenge held in May 2013.
An 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" 24-page booklet, with 22 pages of story and black-and-white art by Paul Guinan.

During World War I, Boilerplate is ordered to find the "Lost Battalion." Will the robot soldier survive the mission? What will be its fate?

This 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" twenty-four-page booklet contains a collection of work from the unpublished Boilerplate graphic novel (cover shown at left). Printed here, for the first time, are portions of the opening chapter:

Select reporters get a sneak peek at Boilerplate before the opening of the 1893 World’s Columbian Exhibition in Chicago. One reporter, fascinated by the mechanical man, convinces his editor at the Chicago Record to let him accompany Campion on Boilerplate’s first adventure—to the Antarctic!

Also included are some of the thumbnails for these excerpts, character sketches, and a vehicle design.

Have YOUR picture taken with BOILERPLATE!!

Send Paul a picture of yourself and/or friends with enough space in the composition to include a seven-foot-tall robot. Paul will then work his wizardry and composite an image of Boilerplate into your photo. You may want to pose as if you are interacting with the robot. You will receive your original photo back, plus prints of you with the mechanical marvel!

$500.oo for two 8 1/2"x11" prints. (Additional prints and wallet sizes also available.)
Prices INCLUDES SHIPPING. Images printed with a high-resolution inkjet onto heavy, glossy photo paper.

The shoulder lid hinges up to reveal a "brain."
The chestplate hinges open to reveal a wind-up mechanisim that simulates clockworks.
