This unique, hand-crafted, kinetic sculpture is for sale on a made-to-order basis by artist Paul Guinan.

Features include:

Electrically illuminated "eyes," with accompanying "generator" (battery pack).

The shoulder lid hinges up to reveal a "brain." A brace lifts up to hold open the lid for display.

The chestplate hinges open to reveal a wind-up mechanisim that simulates clockworks.

The arms have shoulder ball joints that allow for articulated posing.

The legs have working knee and ankle joints.

The head rotates 360 degrees.

Custom equipping of Boilerplate available on request.

Disclamer: Since the wind-up mechanisim started life as a plastic dime-store novelty, great care should be taken in its use to ensure longevity. Only a couple of turns of the winder are needed to produce the required effect. Overwinding may damage the spring. Occasionally the mechanism may stick, but a gentle tap on the winder resumes the action.
